Biography

Misty Hatch joined the faculty at Valparaiso University in 2022. She received her master’s degree from Valpo’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, and recently completed her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Holy Cross. Misty’s areas of research include veterans, domestic violence, substance use, and trauma. She is a certified trauma informed yoga instructor and has presented at an international institute on the role of yoga in trauma treatment. Misty’s clinical experience includes individual counseling, group counseling, corrections, and law enforcement. In her free time, Misty enjoys spending time with her husband on their mini farm, camping, watching horror movies, reading, yoga, and music.
