Wendi Tai came to Valparaiso University in 2008 and began teaching as an adjunct in 2009. She is currently the assistant director for clinical services at the Counseling Center, and she teaches the Career Counseling: Appraisal & Intervention course. She has worked primarily with university students (late adolescents/emerging adults and adults) in a clinical setting, with some past experiences in working with adolescents, adults, and families in outpatient settings. She has a special interest in working with identity development issues (multicultural, career, etc.), trauma, personality disorders, and interpersonal difficulties. She also has a passion for counselor training and supervision. Her research interests include career development, multicultural issues, and school counseling. Outside of the Counseling Center and classroom, Wendi enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors.
