Summer Housing Application

Residential Life will be offering on-campus summer housing during the summer academic sessions of 2020. Due to limited staffing and space, on-campus summer housing availability is limited. As such, the following priorities will be used when reviewing summer housing applications.

  • Priority #1 – Students with essential needs.
    • Defined as those who are verified as:
      • International students that cannot travel due to travel restrictions
      • Any student with housing insecurity
      • Any student with a physically or emotionally unsafe home environment
  • Priority #2 – Students completing approved (via the Provost’s office) research projects on-campus.
  • Priority #3 – Students who are employed on-campus with essential University job functions.
  • Priority #4 – Students who have an in-person clinical requirement as part of a summer class.

Summer Housing Information and Dates:

Session I: Monday, May 18-Saturday, June 27

  • All students will be able to check into Session I housing beginning at 9 AM on Monday, May 18.
  • If a student is only in summer housing for Session I, the student must check out of their residence hall space by Noon on Saturday, June 27.

Session II: Sunday, June 28-Saturday, August 8

  • Students residing in Summer II housing ONLY can check in starting at Noon on Sunday, June 28.
  • All students will be expected to move out of summer housing by noon on Saturday, August 8.

Summer Housing Applications are available online through DataVU. Students then access their Housing Self-Service and complete the “Summer 1 and-or Summer 2 On-Campus Housing Application”. Applications are due by Monday, April 29, 2019.

Application Information
Summer Housing Applications are due by 5:00 PM Friday, May 1, 2020.

Cost of Summer Housing
$1350 per Summer Session ($2,700 for both summer sessions)
