Delaney Scheller ’24

I joined the Valpo MSW program because I’ve always had a passion for helping others, and I wanted to expand my education in social work. My Bachelor’s degree is in Psychology, with a minor in Social Work Direct Practice from Valparaiso University. Pursuing a Master’s in Social Work felt like the ideal next step to deepen my understanding and enhance my impact in the field. My aspiration is to work in mental health and community outreach, and I believe this program is equipping me with the essential skills and knowledge to make a meaningful difference.

What excites me most about the MSW program is its comprehensive approach to social work and the opportunity to collaborate with my peers and professors. The entire cohort is so supportive and inclusive, creating a welcoming environment from the very first day of orientation. The passion for social work shared by everyone involved has greatly enriched my learning experience, and I look forward to what the future holds for this program.
