Fellowships

Valpo encourages faculty to apply for fellowships that support their scholarly work and research interests.  The Director of OSSR assists faculty in applying for fellowships, including Fulbright Fellowships.  Please contact the Director if you are interested in pursuing this type of opportunity.

Valpo has an internal review process for fellowship applications to assure the accurate coordination of salaries and benefits and to facilitate class scheduling. The Fellowship Application Form (FAF) should be completed and routed for review and signatures. The FAF packet includes the form, an abstract or narrative of the proposed project, and information about the fellowship opportunity.

The FAF and review process is also used for travel grants where the PI is only requesting travel support and no funds are requested for any other project or activity.

Fulbright Fellowships for Faculty and Staff

The Fulbright Program, the flagship international academic exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government, has fostered mutual understanding between the U.S. and other countries since 1946. Partnering with more than 160 countries worldwide, the Fulbright Program offers international educational and cultural exchange programs for passionate and accomplished scholars, artists, teachers, and professionals of all backgrounds to study, teach, or pursue important research and professional projects. OSSR is happy to support faculty and staff interested in applying for a Fulbright opportunity.
