BSO At Valparaiso University To Celebrate Black History Month
Members of the Black Student Organization (BSO) at Valparaiso University have prepared a full calendar of movies, games, and information sessions in celebration of Black History Month. These events are free and open to the public. All events will take place at 6 p.m. in the Brave Space of Loke Hall unless otherwise noted.
Monday nights are movie nights throughout the month of February. Titles shown include “Summer of Soul” on Feb. 3, “Fresh Dressed” on Feb. 10, “I Am Not Your Negro” on Feb. 17, and “Rustin” on Feb. 24.
A game of “Guess the Song” and musical chairs will take place on Friday, Feb. 7, followed by “Black History Jeopardy” on Thursday, Feb. 13. at the Christopher Center Library, room 205.
Other events include the “Dress To Impress Fashion Show” on Wednesday, Feb. 12, and a Poetry Slam night at the Bell and Beacon in the Harre Union on Wednesday, Feb. 26.
