Do you know which vaccinations you need for your trip? Find the country or countries you plan to visit on the list of destinations on the Center for Disease Control’s (CDC) website.
Ideally, you need to make a Travel Consultation appointment four to six weeks before your trip.
Most vaccines take time to become effective in your body and some vaccines must be given in a series over a period of days or sometimes weeks.
If it is less than four weeks before you leave, you should still make an appointment at the Health Center for a Travel Consultation. You might still benefit from shots or medications and other information about how to protect yourself from illness and injury while traveling.
To make an appointment, call the Health Center at 219.464.5060.
