Operations Committee

The Operations Committee is responsible for all fiscal activities of Student Senate and of all recognized student organizations, as well as recognizing and regulating student organizations.

The Committee handles all student organization-related concerns including budgeting, recognition, and status. The Committee is split up into Commissions to more accurately assess different student organization concerns.

The Club Sports Commission

The Club Sports Commission meets to discuss and decide on the budgets of the student organizations within the Commission.

Member student organizations of the Club Sport Commission are:

• Men’s Club Soccer
• Women’s Club Soccer
• Club Swimming
• Club Tennis
• Men’s Club Ultimate Frisbee
• Women’s Club Ultimate Frisbee

The Media Commission

The Media Commission meets to discuss and decide on the budgets of the student organizations within the Commission. The Media Commission also provides these organizations to collaborate with each other on decisive issues.

The Programming Commission

The Programming Commission meets to discuss and decide on the budgets of the student organizations within the Commission. These organizations provide events that benefit the entire Valparaiso University community.

The Special Interest Commission

The Special Interest Commission is led by a Student Senate Delegate to budget for all organizations with this distinction. This Commission does not have regular meetings.

The Student Senate & Honor Council Commission

The Student Senate & Honor Council Commission is led by a Student Senate Delegate to budget for the Honor Council and Student Senate. This Commission does not have regular meetings.
