Student Experience Committee
The Student Experience Committee is responsible for oversight of student life and related areas. Currently, the Committee recognizes three distinct areas in which Student Senate should have direct oversight of.
The Committee handles all student life-related concerns including Residential Life. Dining Services, and Campus Safety & Parking. The Committee is split up into Commissions to more accurately assess different student life-related concerns.
The Residential Life Commission
The Residential Life Commission meets monthly to assess concerns within the residential buildings on campus. These meetings are open to all students and are held on DAYS, @ TIME, @ PLACE.
Members of the Residential Life Commission are:
- 2 Student Senate Delegates
- Representatives from each residence hall
- Director of Residential Life
The Dining Services Commission
The Dining Services Commission meets monthly to assess concerns about on-campus dining. These meetings are open to all students and are held on DAYS, @ TIME, @ PLACE.
Members of the Dining Services Commission are:
- 2 Student Senate Delegates
- Representatives from Parkhurst Dining
- 3 Appointed Students
The Campus Safety & Parking Commission
The Campus Safety & Parking Commission meets monthly to assess concerns involving the physical spaces on campus. These meetings are open to all students and are held on DAYS, @ TIME, @ PLACE.
Members of the Campus Safety & Parking Commission are:
- 2 Student Senate Delegates
- Representatives from VUPD
- Representatives from The Parking Office
- Representatives from Facilities Management
- 3 Appointed Students
