Alumni Club Highlights

This past summer, Valpo alumni and friends gathered in cities across the country and enjoyed plays, musicals, and sporting events; networked with fellow Valpo grads over a drink; and picnicked with family while proudly waving the Valpo flag. On April 22, alumni and friends in Dallas met for a Mavericks game and a meet-andgreet with Mavs shooting guard and Valpo men’s basketball alumnus Ryan Broekhoff ’13 (PHOTO A). Valpo grads and their guests also met for a happy hour in San Jose, California, on April 27.

On June 20, alumni in Chicagoland gathered in the Flat Iron Arts building for a performance of “Footholds,” an original production from the Impostors Theatre Company featuring the works of Natalia Terzic ’17 and Caroline Hyde ’19, under the direction of Stefan Roseen ’15 and Ali McLaughlin ’12, with design by Mallory Swisher ’15, Chris Gierymski ’17, and Ethan Gasbarro ’17. That same night, Indianapolis area alumni joined faculty of the College of Nursing and Health Professions for a happy hour during the National Association of Nurse Practitioners conference.

Alumni also met for baseball games in Boston, Denver (PHOTO B), and Milwaukee (PHOTO C); a happy hour with Valpo deans in Crown Point, Indiana, (PHOTO D); and at the annual Washington D.C. Picnic on August 4 (PHOTO E).
