A new Bias Incident Report Line is available for all students to report non-emergency bias incidents.
• Complete the online form at: Bias Incident Report Form
Do not use this form to report events presenting an immediate threat to life or property. In case of emergency, please call 911.
The new line is dedicated to report any bias incident that impacts you, our students. A bias incident is “an act against a person or property that is motivated, in whole or in part, by the offender’s bias against race, color, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, age, or religion.”
Our University’s diversity is a vitally important resource. I encourage each of you to hold one another to the highest standard of conduct and to treat all members of the Valpo community with dignity and respect. It is through dialogue and interaction with those who have different backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs that we allow ourselves to grow as scholars, as global leaders, and as individuals.
Please know that this is just one of many ways the University provides support for its students. The Office of Multicultural Programs, the counseling center, campus police, RAs, peer ministers, and faculty and staff members are all here to ensure you receive the best educational experience possible in an inclusive, welcoming environment.
