Admissions Fall Recap

The Office of Admissions hosted 46 prospective students on campus this fall. The visit includes sitting in on a class, a tour of the Law School, and lunch with current students.  A new open house was added in November as an evening event for all prospective students and targeting those that are working professionals; this will be repeated in January.  To reach students that are unable to visit campus at this time, a webinar on Valparaiso Law and the application process was hosted last night, and another webinar will be scheduled for mid-December.

December Graduates Commencement Information

Commencement on December 15, 2013 at 2:30 p.m., Chapel of the Resurrection

The commencement ceremony for the December grads, including the Law School, is at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, December 15, in the Chapel of the Resurrection; lineup for that event is at 1:30 p.m. Student lineup is along the south wall in the back of the chapel where you will receive reader cards then students will move up the stairs to the balcony of the chapel. The ceremony begins at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of the Resurrection. A reception in the Ballroom of the Harre Union will follow the ceremony.

Moot Court Society Competes at the Annual Chicago Bar Association Moot Court Competition

Valparaiso’s Moot Court Society was represented with outstanding oral advocacy and writing abilities this past weekend at the 31st Annual Chicago Bar Association Moot Court Competition against 30 opposing

teams nationwide. Mr. Wally Hernandez and Miss Mary Zastrow competed with passion and great talent that elicited zealous reviews from the Young Lawyers Society who presided over the competition. The team was coached throughout the semester by Mr. Geoff Lorenz. Congratulations to the entire team and thank you for representing Valparaiso Law.
