Valparaiso University Bookstore Return Procedures

The bookstore is offering free shipping return labels and will extend the non-return period without penalty to assist with increased returns by mail.

Students will receive a rental reminder email that is sent 14 days before the rental due date. Additional reminder emails will be sent again seven and three days prior to the due date, as well as on the scheduled due date. These emails will contain a link to generate a free return shipping label and packing slip.

For buybacks, simply find the ISBN to get started, enter the info on the space provided in the email and send in the book(s) within 14 days of receiving the sell back quote. You will receive free shipping and receive payment via check or PayPal.

The bookstore will be open 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. to facilitate in-person rental returns. The bookstore employees will wear face masks at all times, and students are required to wear face masks as well. There will be social distancing markers in the store, and there will be regular cleaning sessions to disinfect common areas. For FAQs regarding rental returns and buybacks, click here.

The bookstore will be open May 1–21, Monday – Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Closed on Sundays.
