Michael and Shelice Tolbert ’00, were highlighted in The Indiana Lawyer publication after Michael was appointed as the first African American President of the Lake County Bar Association.
Tom Dluski ’00, has become a partner in Heyl Royster’s Peoria office. Tom concentrates his practice in the defense claims filed under the Federal Employment Liability Act (FELA). He defends one of the largest U.S. railway companies in state and federal court in cumulative trauma and specific incident claims.
Kathleen Nolan ’04, accepted a position as an Assistant State’s Attorney with the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office in Edwardsville, Illinois. She joined the office to be a part of the newly formed Children’s Justice Division and exclusively prosecutes felony cases with child victims including sexual abuse, child pornography, and murder.
Jonathan Pasky’05, was featured in the Chicago Tribune discussing patent law and his experience owning his intellectual property law firm.
Lian Shalala, ‘08L, has joined the practice of Schatz Brown Glassman Kossow LLP’s ESOP Compliance Counsel at the firm’s Rochester, New York office. Ms. Shalala was previously an ESOP relationship manager for Horizon Trust and Investment Management.

Charles Bush ’12,, is now an associate at Ice Miller LLP in the Indianapolis location. Bush is an associate in the Firm’s Labor and Employment Group. In 2013, he graduated magna cum laude from Valparaiso University Law School. There, he served as a judicial extern for Judge Tanya Walton Pratt in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. He was also a member of the Valparaiso University Sports Law Clinic, the Black Law Students Association and the Moot Court Society. Bush was a summer clerk for Ice Miller in 2012 and joined the firm as an associate in 2013.
