The Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree can be completed through a full-time, three year program, an accelerated two-and-one-half year program, or a five-year part-time program. Applications are to be submitted electronically through LSAC and will be accepted through June 1 for entry into the 2013 class. Applicants are advised to submit their applications by March 15 to be assured of scholarship consideration. The Valparaiso Law J.D. application fee is waived for 2013.
Transfer/Advance Standing Admission into the J.D. program. Valparaiso Law welcomes applications from current or recent law students who have completed a full year of academic credit in good standing at an ABA-accredited law school. Transfer applications are considered in the spring and early summer for fall semester 2013 entry into the second year class.
The LL.M. degree program is a Master of Laws Program in American Law for foreign-educated lawyers who wish to gain knowledge and competence in the American legal system to enhance their careers in their native countries. Applications can be submitted after September 1.
The J.D./Dual Degree programs offer students the opportunity to earn an MBA or one of 6 other Masters degrees at the same time they are completing the J.D. degree. Please contact the Office of Admissions at the Law School for additional information.
