TOBACCO EDUCATION & PREVENTION COALITION FOR PORTER CO.
The Tobacco Education & Prevention Coalition continues to be involved in education, prevention, cessation and policy efforts. The Coalition is dedicated building a healthier community by reducing tobacco use and eliminating health disparities related to tobacco use. This can be accomplished by protecting residents from secondhand smoke; education; prevention; reducing youth tobacco use and access to tobacco products; and improving cessation services to assist smokers in quitting. Our mission is to promote tobacco control initiatives for the purpose of reducing tobacco use by our citizens through education. The coalition meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 8:30 a.m. All are welcome to attend.

Voice is a peer-to-peer youth movement dedicated to exposing the tobacco industry and empowering teens with truths they've never heard. It's about taking a different look at an issue that people have been talking about for decades. The key is, Voice is not a group of fanatic young non-smokers. These youth want to help their peers learn the facts about the dangers of tobacco use and how they are targeted by the Big Tobacco industry. Find out more about the VOICE PROGRAM.
