Biology Colloquium Series
For the Fall 2021 semester, biology colloquium is completely online (via Zoom). Colloquium talks occur the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month during the academic year, from 4:10 - 5:00 PM. Talks are open to the public. Please contact Dr. Masaru Nakamoto (Masaru.Nakamoto@valpo.edu), the biology colloquium coordinator, with information on how to connect to this seminar series online.

$1.5 Million EPIC Grant Funded by the NSF
The National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded Valpo a six-year, $1.5 million grant to fund the Establishing Practices Integrating Commuters Plus (EPIC+) program. The program will use a multi-faceted, targeted recruitment strategy to reach underrepresented students who are pursuing a STM major. EPIC+ scholars receive enhanced academic opportunities to integrate them into the wider campus and scholarly community including: a multi-year research experience, participation in scientific conferences, presenting at departmental colloquia, faculty mentoring, career networking and peer support.
