Noor Azmat
Noor is a senior at Valparaiso University with a double major in Economics and Communications. She is a member of Chi Omega and was the diversity, equity and inclusivity chair. She enjoys working at the OMP because it is an extremely comfortable and safe environment. It is a huge relief for her when her bosses are understanding when it comes to the fact that she is a student first. Another thing she enjoys is that it is a female dominated workplace. It makes her feel motivated and empowered when I see strong women managing so many things successfully. It is amazing being a part of working towards a more inclusive campus.
Noor’s main goal is to work in sports marketing in a city. She would love to work in marketing or advertisement, preferably targeted towards basketball. She wants to be able to experience city life after living in a small town like Valpo for almost four years. She also intends on getting a masters degree.
Noor’s most impressive and relevant achievements:
- Being the Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity Chair has taught her how to navigate extremely difficult, but important conversations. She believes you truly can not grow unless you are uncomfortable.
- Her team came second in a basketball tournament in Uzbekistan.
