Christmas

“But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”

Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff:

On that first Christmas night, an angel shared the good news of Jesus Christ with shepherds, who were the first messengers of God’s peace and goodwill toward men. As Christians eagerly await the birth of Jesus and gather with loved ones this Christmas, let us remember this message of peace and hope and wonder. May our celebrations be marked with acts of kindness and generosity toward our sisters and brothers both near and far away.

From all of us at Valparaiso University, have a most blessed Christmas and a joyful New Year. May God’s love fill your hearts with eagerness, with hope, and with wonder.

Peace,
