Interlibrary Loan Lending Policies

Shipping:
We ship via INCOLSA Wheels within Indiana and U.S. Mail out of state.

Turnaround Time:
Turnaround is typically 24-48 hours.

Rush Requests:
Copies can be faxed or books shipped via UPS.

Methods of Request:
We accept OCLC requests and ALA forms by mail or fax. We will accept email requests if all the standard information is included (see Draft Document: IFLA Guidelines for Sending ILL Requests by Email).

Materials

Books:
Books will be loaned for 28 days with 21-28 day renewals if not needed by another patron.

Periodicals:
Articles will be photocopied within copyright guidelines. We will not lend entire issues.

Reference, Reserve, Rare Books:
These books will not be loaned. Sections, however, may be copied.

Video Tapes, LPs, CDs:
Will lend to reciprocal libraries only. Some of the collection does not circulate. Most LPs circulate.

Computer Disks:
Unable to lend at this time. May make exceptions on a case-by-case basis.

Newspapers:
Cannot be loaned.

Microforms:
Determined on a case-by-case basis. ERIC documents circulate for 4 weeks.
