Jordan Dollins, a native of the St. Louis, Missouri area, serves as Director of Choirs at Portage High School in Portage, Indiana, where he directs around 200 students across four concert choirs and a show choir. He also serves as an adjunct instructor at Valparaiso University, where he directs the treble choir. Dollins earned his masters degree in choral conducting from Ball State University and undergraduate degree in music education from Harding University. Under his leadership, a Portage High School choir has earned a spot in ISSMA state concert finals in both 2025 and 2026. Dollins serves in many capacities across state and national music organizations. He has served as an honor choir coordinator for ACDA’s regional and national choirs and IMEA’s All-Region Choir, as well as a clinician for the IMEA Circle the State with Song festival. He serves as one of ICDA’s repertoire and resources chairs and sits on the state board of directors of ISSMA. Dollins is a published composer with ICC Publishing House, has written original music for The Amish Project, and orchestrations for A Child’s Christmas in Wales and Pirates!?! A Pillaging of Gilbert & Sullivan. He works on several school- and community-based theatrical productions a year.
