Student Life Division
The Student Life Division at Valparaiso University engages proactively in the holistic development of students to help them learn, grow, and strive toward their fullest potential within an inclusive and supportive community. Focused specifically on the student experience, the members of the Student Life staff work to encourage students to be actively engaged in life both inside and outside of the classroom.
To enable students to continue to connect with employers, the Center for Career & Professional Development is hosting five virtual career fairs this fall. The first was the Engineering, Science & Technology Career and Internship Fair on Sept. 17. Forty-nine employers and 357 students participated. The other fairs are:
- Government, Non-Profit, Human Services & Education Fair
- Business Fair
- Graduate & Professional School Fair
- Nursing & Health Professions Fair
These fairs are open to all Valpo students and the Center for Career & Professional Development provides resources to help them prepare for the events. The fairs are an example of the many virtual presentations being conducted by the Center for Career & Professional Development staff.
“Utilizing the Career Center allowed me to both discover and achieve my career goals. Through outside speaker events and networking opportunities presented by the Career Center, I realized how exactly I wanted to use my degree. Then, with the one-on-one appointments, interview prep, and resume and cover letter reviews, I was able to secure the role I was aiming for. Now, I have accepted a job offer with PepsiCo in Chicago after graduation and I could not be more excited to start! I hope everyone can take advantage of all of the amazing benefits the Career Center has to offer to reach their full professional potential.”
