The Office of Student Support & Accountability is committed to helping students thrive throughout their Valpo journey. We provide individualized support, resources, and opportunities that promote personal growth, well-being, accountability, and holistic success.

Whether students are navigating challenges, seeking guidance, building connections, or working toward their goals, our team is here to help them succeed both inside and outside the classroom.

Through a holistic and student-centered approach, we empower students to develop resilience, cultivate a sense of belonging, and make meaningful progress toward graduation.

How We Support Students

Our office serves as a central hub for student support and success initiatives, including:

Student Support Assistants (SSAs) who provide peer-to-peer outreach, encouragement, and connection to campus resources.
Commuter Student Resources designed to foster engagement, community, and success for students who live off campus.
Holistic Success Coaching focused on goal setting, time management, personal development, and navigating the college experience.
Care & Concerns Committee that coordinates support for students experiencing academic, personal, health, or other challenges.
Hardship Fund assistance for students facing temporary, unexpected financial hardships that may impact their ability to fully engage on campus.
Cornerstone Program supporting first-generation college students through mentorship, skill development, and community building.
Veteran Student Services connecting military-affiliated students with resources, advocacy, and support throughout their academic journey.
Student Conduct processes that help students reflect on their decisions, understand their impact on others, and develop the skills needed to make choices aligned with their personal values and community expectations.
