Best memories from your Valpo days:
Every day at Valpo and every person I met at Valpo will have a page in my book of life. It has not just advanced my career but also taught me the lessons for life. Working at the Office of International Programs as a Student Ambassador is one of my best memories which gave me the opportunity to meet many wonderful people from around the world.

Best memories from your Valpo day
Diwali 2015, a cultural event which brought us together as Valpo students and gave us an opportunity to explore our arts. The event was a great memory as a student in Valpo!
How Valpo prepared you for your career path:
The curriculum which we had for our Masters Programs was very well defined and structured in that it gave us a scope to what we are about to achieve both personally and professionally . Each and every subject gave a path to expertise in our careers.
A recent adventure:
My visit to Cherry Spring National Park in Pennsylvania [a “dark sky” park for stargazing] was my best recent adventure in the summer of 2018. It was a beautiful sight to see the whole universe even while sitting on earth.
I also recently completed my MBA in financial technology from Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS) Pilani.

Best memories from your Valpo days:
There are so many memories i can recall but the special ones are when i worked at Founders Cafe and developed relationships with my co-workers; I am still in touch with them. The Diwali events were very special and I got a chance to participate twice during my stay at Valpo. The international community is so big and I made friends from different countries; I cherish the experience even today. Also, the OIP team has been very friendly and promptly addressed my concerns.
How Valpo prepared you for your career path:
I have took up the course work which helped me in my career planning. I have always wanted to work in the Cyber Security field, and guidance from Prof. April Cripliver really helped me in understanding the computer networks and cyber security industry. She was the one who persuaded me to take up technical certifications to step my foot in the door. I can definitely vouch for her advice as her suggestions helped me immensely in finding my dream job. I work as Senior Consultant at one of the Big 4 firms in the world as of today. This would not have been possible without my professor’s guidance, as well as learning experiences from Career center and fellow Valpo students.
A recent adventure:
Since completing my STEM OPT, I have moved to Toronto, Canada in December 2019 and I am currently working as a Cybersecurity Analyst at ATCO Ltd.

Best memories from your Valpo days:
The best advantage of coming from a Management background working for a Financial Client for 5 years (ICICI) was choosing Information Technology (Management) course that Valpo offers. My journey at Valparaiso University was one of the most memorable I could ever have imagined. It was not easy, but it was totally worth spending 2 years at this beautiful place. The faculty and staff have all the credits for the way they groomed me for what I am today. For me it was never just getting a valued degree but what more can I get for myself and how can I give it back to the institution and this led me to work for Office of international Programs (OIP), Career Center, Founders Table, Graduate School, CCLR – Library, Orientation Ambassador, Indian Student Association member, AAPIC member, MRC – Intern, ISEC and many other organizations. Also, my best memory was hosting the Diwali show conducted by AAPIC.
Valparaiso University has just not given me the valued master’s degree but also gave me awards. They are as follows:
ISEC- International Student Experience Coach, Valparaiso University and OIP Recognition, Indian Student Association (ISA) – Certificate of Achievement, Certificate of Achievement for outstanding contribution by the Mayor of the city of Hobart, and Certificate of Achievement for Passport Program.
Over the period of time after Graduating I have enhanced my skills by the following certifications: SMAC, SA, PSM -1, POPM.
I am a proud Valpo grad and I carry this name on my shoulders with immense pride and will continue to do so! #govalpo.
