Publications
Founded in summer 2011, Valparaiso Fiction Review (VFR) is a publication of Valparaiso University and its English department. VFR publishes two editions a year, usually around the first of December and the first of May, and this highly-respected journal features fiction by established or emerging authors from the United States and abroad.
Valparaiso University’s student-led literary and arts journal, The Lighter, publishes creative works by students across campus, shining a light on student art, poetry, photography, and more. The award-winning magazine has been published on campus since 1958.
English students write, edit, and design the Valpo English Department’s biannual newsletter, The Lodestar, which connects with alumni around the country. Each semester, the newsletter features student writing sharing faculty and alumni stories, student internships, and department news. To read the latest issue, visit here.
