Shantée has created such a welcoming space where people from all over—students, faculty, and members of the Valpo community—can come together to sing and share in something beautiful! Every rehearsal feels like a place of belonging, joy, and encouragement. She reminds us how powerful it is when people come together with one heart and one purpose. She takes time before or after rehearsals to check in with us, listen, and make sure everyone feels seen and supported. Even during busy or stressful weeks, she reminds us that choir is a place to breathe, reconnect, and find joy in singing together. The community she’s created continues to be a source of light and connection for so many of us.
