How to Join
Men are eligible to join a fraternity at Valparaiso University once he has completed 12 credit hours with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50.

Freshman Scholarships Available to members of the Class of 2024!

Panhellenic and Interfraternity Council Freshman Scholarship
On behalf of the Interfraternity and Panhellenic Councils at Valparaiso University, we would like to welcome you to your first year on campus and to provide you information on an exciting scholarship opportunity. The fall of 2020 marks the eight year of the Interfraternity Council and Panhellenic Council Freshman Scholarships. Two $500 scholarships will be offered. Due September 4, 2020. Lambda Chi Alpha Annual Scholarship
The Lambda Chi Alpha Annual Freshman Scholarship is given to either a freshman or recent transfer student who demonstrates a commitment to the seven Core Values of that fraternity: loyalty, duty, respect, service and stewardship, honor, integrity, and personal courage. The chapter will award at least one $500 or greater scholarship per year with additional awards possible for runners up. For the 2020-2021 academic year, the deadline to apply is January 4, 2021. Phi Delta Theta Iron Horse Scholarship
The Iron Horse scholarship is awarded to an incoming freshman who exemplifies the principles of Friendship, Sound Learning, and Moral Rectitude. The deadline to apply is October 4, 2020. Click here for the application.

Phi Kappa Psi Excellence Bound Scholarship
The Phi Kappa Psi Excellence Bound Scholarship was designed for freshman men who excel in the areas of service, leadership, and academics. This fall, Phi Kappa Psi will be awarding seven total scholarship in the following breakdown: one $1,500 scholarship, two $750 scholarships, and four $500 scholarships. Phi Sigma Kappa Jack Esala Honorary Scholarship
The Jack Esala Honorary Scholarship is given to a freshmen male every year. It is awarded to the young man who most exemplifies the three cardinal principles of Phi Sigma Kappa. These principles are to promote brotherhood, to stimulate scholarship, and to develop character. Applications will be judged based on quality of responses and finalists will move to an in person interview. Click here for the application.

Jordan High Ambition Sigma Chi Freshman Scholarship
This scholarship application is awarded to three freshmen who emulate the Sigma Chi value of High Ambition. This value represents someone who has achieved or plans on achieving countless goals in their life with ambitious purposes. Each freshman is awarded $500. Click here for the application.

Sigma Phi Epsilon Balanced Man Scholarship
The Balanced Man Scholarship rewards students who have shown academic excellence, leadership skills, and a commitment to their health and well-being. SigEp believes that recognizing students who demonstrate balance and all-around excellence is one way to promote men of principle. Sigma Phi Epsilon is offering a $1000 scholarship with eight other runner up prizes totaling to $3,000 with the Balanced Man Scholarship. Click here for the application.
