Parents: In the Kinder lernen Deutsch program, your child will be introduced to the German language and culture through fun activities, games, and songs. One class is for 1st-grade beginners and one is for children who participated in the program in a previous year.
Kinder lernen Deutsch is taught by Valpo undergraduate students of German who are supervised by Dr. Jennifer Bjornstad, Professor of German.
The fee for the year is $75, due on the first day of class. Make checks out to “Valparaiso University.” We can also take cash. If your child receives free or reduced lunch, please talk with us about scholarship options. To register, call the German House at 219.548.1569. Registration is open until the classes fill up.
