Share your news or story

Stories about Valpo students, alumni, faculty, and staff are a key way to share what makes Valpo extraordinary. Are you a world-class musician, all-star athlete, or campus leader? Will your research change the way the world thinks? Have you made a difference in your community – locally or even globally?

We encourage Valpo community members to contact us with story ideas. Submitting a story lead does not guarantee it will be publicized, and stories will be written at the discretion of Integrated Marketing Communications. We require all media inquiries to go through our office, and we will consider news, event, and story leads for media outreach.

News and Events

The Valpo public affairs team must receive information about upcoming events and stories at least three weeks prior to publication. Event releases are limited to events that are open to the public. Because of the high volume of requests, event news releases may not be written if information is received less than one week before the event.

Feature Stories

The public affairs team will consider feature story ideas as they develop editorial content for all University communications vehicles including the VALPO Magazine, the valpo.edu website, newsletters, brochures, fundraising communication, and recruitment materials.
