About
Abby Craft graduated from Bradley University in 2016 with a bachelor of science in hospitality leadership. Following graduation, she began her career in the nonprofit sector, where she quickly discovered her passion for creating meaningful experiences and building strong, mission-driven communities. Her early work allowed her to develop key strengths in event planning, brand management, and project coordination – skills that continue to shape her approach today.
Abby joined Valparaiso University’s Office of Advancement in 2021 as the assistant director of donor relations. In this role, she helped strengthen donor engagement through thoughtful stewardship efforts and personalized communication. She transitioned into her current role in July of 2025 as assistant director of communication for advancement and donor experience.
In this position, Abby develops and executes touchpoints that connect donors and alumni to the heart of Valpo’s mission. She builds and deploys communication through Slate, collaborates with colleagues, and keeps a wide range of advancement projects moving forward with care, creativity, and attention to detail.
Abby’s office is located in Heritage Hall, where she is always happy to collaborate, brainstorm, or support new ideas that strengthen the Valpo community.
