About
Bethany LeLaurin is an experienced educator with extensive expertise in Elementary Education, specializing in math education, student engagement, and curriculum development. She demonstrates a passion for fostering inclusive, respectful, and supportive learning environments. Her teaching background spans P–12, higher education, and hybrid learning environments in multiple states.
Her research interests and practice focus on mathematics education, specifically math learning gaps in the upper elementary grades and algebra readiness. She also is interested in researching how teacher preparation programs can better prepare pre-service teachers to teach mathematics effectively. She has experience teaching in multiple teacher preparation programs and is dedicated to mentoring students as they enter the teaching profession. She also has experience supervising student teachers, coordinating field placements, and facilitating professional learning experiences.
