BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Peixing Jiang has extensive teaching experience in Exercise Science, with expertise in areas including Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology/Biomechanics, Strength and Conditioning, Assessment and Prescription in Health and Fitness, and Advanced Personal Training. He has effectively prepared students for professional certifications as Advanced Personal Trainers, Exercise Specialists, and Strength and Conditioning Specialists.
Professor Jiang believes it is essential for students to grasp the fundamental facts and concepts of today’s material. However, he emphasizes that the greater purpose of education is to develop the ability to “learn how to learn” as a foundation for lifelong learning. He also believes students should gain experience with rapidly evolving technologies, and that an effective teacher inspires motivation through a balance of enthusiasm and challenge.
Dr. Jiang’s research focuses on the biomechanical analysis of human movement, particularly in areas such as gait and sports performance skills. He also specializes in developing strength training systems and designing periodization programs for athletes. In addition, he is an active member of the American College of Sports Medicine and the National Council on Strength and Fitness.
