Our mission is to create a supportive space where students can thrive academically and personally, while feeling valued and respected for their unique cultural backgrounds.

OMP Branches

The micro-meso-macro approach addresses group issues across multiple scales. The Office of Multicultural Programs aims to implement a holistic strategy that focuses on these distinct levels:

Macro-Level Initiatives (Institutional/Community-Wide): Broad efforts to foster systemic change and inclusivity at the organizational or societal level.

Meso-Level Initiatives (Group/Community Level): Targeted interventions to build cohesion and equity within student organizations, Groups, departments, or communities.

Micro-Level Initiatives(Individual/Relational): Personalized support to enhance awareness, skills, and interactions at the personal or interpersonal level.

Goals

Empower students to explore, affirm, and develop their individual and group identities through mentorship, leadership, dialogue, and student engagement opportunities.

Create engaging and educational opportunities for the campus community to learn about, experience, and honor cultural diversity, traditions, and global perspectives.
