Valpo’s Black Student Organization Announces Public Events for Black History Month 2026

Students in the Valparaiso University Black Student Organization (BSO) are recognizing the month of February with a variety of campus events, including food, song and movies.

“Through Black History Month programming, the Black Student Organization aims to address the needs of African American students by creating intentional spaces for celebration, education, and community,” said members of the BSO leadership team. “These events are important because they not only honor Black history and culture, but also affirm the voices and experiences of Black students at Valpo while fostering dialogue, understanding, and connection across campus.”
