The Duesenberg Endowed Chair in French Language and Culture supports these scholarships, along with Esprit français programming, like a meal in Chicago at the French bistro Venteux.

French major Annika Brown ’20 was a student in FREN 290, a course on Classic French Cinema. For her final project, she produced a short film, Valpo qui s’éloigne, based on the style of filmmaker René Clair in his 1924 silent film, Paris qui dort.
Lauren combined French and IECA (International Economics and Cultural Affairs) and studied abroad in Paris for a semester. After graduation, Lauren moved to France and completed a Master’s degree in Environmental Policy at Sciences Po, a French university located in Paris. She is now preparing her application for candidacy for the U.S. Foreign Service.
