Philosophy courses are open to all students meeting the prerequisites; however 275, 280 and all upper division courses are primarily designed to meet the needs of Philosophy majors. Most students will be best served by our other courses at the 100 and 200 level. All of these are considered introductory courses, and consequently assume no background in philosophy. All philosophy courses can be used to fill a General Education requirement. Most will fulfill the Humanities requirement, but some can be used for other requirements such as Cultural Diversity or Arts. The Logic course (PHIL 150) satisfies the Quantitative Analysis requirement. Please see the individual course desciptions (at left) for details.
