Our Mission

The FSE community at Valparaiso University will provide members an experience rooted in academic excellence, belonging, service and leadership.

Academic Excellence

Members strive for high academic achievement in our pursuit of excellence and in alignment with the expectations of the Valparaiso University mission statement. Each chapter has a GPA requirement which active members must maintain to be able to participate in chapter activities while offering academic support and assistance to maintain these high standards.

Belonging

Members learn how the exchange of knowledge, talents, and perspectives builds character within them and contributes to a better world. Membership is open and welcoming to all individuals who express interest in membership.

Service

Members engage in various philanthropic acts and service opportunities that strengthen the humility and empathy necessary to become thoughtful and value-driven individuals.

Leadership

Members strive to develop and foster lifelong-learning and skill development. Members seize opportunities to immerse themselves in creating meaningful change for themselves and for others.
