Valpo Rec Kids Camp

The Valpo Rec Kids Camp is a traditional camp offered during spring break and summer for children 5 years of age through 12. Each week is packed with games, crafts, special events, outdoor adventures, and much more right on the beautiful Valparaiso University campus. Your child’s experience is our number one priority!

Where Does it Take Place?

Valparaiso University. We will visit all areas of campus!

More detailed drop off & pick up information will be provided after registering for camp.

What Are the Dates of Camp?

Spring Break Camp: March 23 – 27; registration opens in January 2026

Summer Camp: June 1 – August 7; registration opens in January 2026

What Are the Camp Times?

Mon – Fri only; 7:00AM – 6:00PM.

What Grades Can Participate?

K – 7th grade (must be at least 5 years of age by 1st day of camp, no kids older than 12).

How Much Does Camp Cost?

$190/week + processing fee. Discounts for current Valparaiso University faculty/staff will be made available for a limited period once registration opens.

Are Food or Snacks Available?

We do not provide lunch and snacks. Coolers/fridges will be available to store lunches. Often, we will have a “Pizza Wednesday” where parents can pay cash for pizza, chips, and a drink for that specific day.

Is There a Cancellation/Refund Policy?

A full refund minus cancellation fees will be provided if we are given one week notice. All refunds are processed through the registration software and are subject to a $15 cancellation fee. Contact recreationalsports@valpo.edu to modify or make changes to your schedule.

Registration Information

Max of 32 kids (spring break camp is a max of 20) registered per day. A waitlist is available through the Ryzer software.

Payment Details

A partial or full payment option is available. If you wish to register for the entire summer and do not want to pay in full, you are able to pay a percentage at the time of your initial registration. Full payment will be due the Wednesday before the week of camp.

  • 7:00am – 9:00am: Camper Drop Off/Free Play
  • 9:00am – 9:30am: Indoor/Outdoor Activity
  • 9:30am – 10:00am: Snack (must pack own snack)
  • 10:00am – 11:00am: Indoor/Outdoor Activity
  • 11:00am – 12:00pm: Indoor/Outdoor Activity
  • 12:00pm – 1:00pm: Lunch (must pack own lunch)
  • 1:00pm – 2:00pm: Indoor/Outdoor Activity
  • 2:00pm – 3:00pm: Indoor/Outdoor Activity
  • 3:00pm – 3:30pm: Snack (must pack own snack)
  • 3:30pm – 4:00pm: Indoor/Outdoor Activity
  • 4:00pm – 6:00pm: Camper Pick Up/Free Play
