The Graduate School and the Office of International Programs (OIP) are here to welcome you to Valpo’s campus. The following steps will help you transition to your new community.

STEP 1: Pre-Arrival

Your first step is to complete the OIP’s pre-arrival immigration and new student checklist. Please be sure to review all pre-arrival emails from OIP. This information is also available here.

STEP 2: Attend Orientation

The Graduate School and Office of International Programs have planned an orientation for all new international students at Valpo. Your attendance is required at all days.  If you are starting classes in an upcoming semester, your orientation information is below.  If you are beginning in a future semester, orientation information will be updated after Summer orientation is completed.  Please check back soon!

Summer 2020 Schedule

Attendance is required for all new international students. The Summer Orientation will be online. Invitations will be sent to students via email. Information concerning International Program’s Orientation is forthcoming. The Graduate School’s mandatory orientation is May 18.

Part 2-Graduate School Orientation Writing Assessment:

This assessment will be completed using Blackboard. Information concerning this assessment is forthcoming.

First Semester Registration 

You will register for your first semester of coursework during Orientation. We have set aside time for you to meet your advisor, discuss your graduate program, and select courses for your first semester of study.
