Graduate Academic Symposium

Updated Information: The Graduate Symposium, held in conjunction with the Symposium on Undergraduate Research and Creative Expression (SOURCE), will be an in-person conference on Thursday, April 27, 2023. This date is considered an academic celebration so no Valpo classes will meet on this day in order to facilitate greater participation and attendance by students and faculty!

One of the many joys of completing a research project or creative endeavor is to share the results with others. The Symposium is an opportunity for students to share creative and/or scholarly work that they have undertaken during their graduate studies. In a typical year, the Valpo SOURCE and Graduate Symposium brings together over 150 students and 45 faculty sponsors to share their research experiences with the campus and local community. Student presenters will have the option to (1) give a 15-minute oral presentation, followed by 5 minutes for questions and answers, or (2) to give a poster presentation.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: If you are interested in submitting your work for approval, please follow the directions below. Please note that your submission must be for the Graduate Academic Symposium on Valpo Scholar. Create an account on Valpo Scholar and provide the following:
