Camps On Campus!
Valparaiso University is thrilled to launch BEACON Academy, an innovative camp experience for high school students interested in nature, the environment, and sustainability. Participants will be recruited from Northwest Indiana with particular attention paid to students who might not see college as part of their future.

Beacon Water Analysis Academy
Students from the Boys and Girls Club of Valparaiso University enjoyed a fun and educational experience with Dr. Chris Iceman on Jul 25, 2023. Students were given a tour of campus which included Harre Union, Chapel of the Resurrection, and several colleges on campus. Dr. Iceman met our group wearing safety goggles with eyelashes attached! Students learned about water analysis and the elements in their local water. The day ended with pizza at the union and thoughtful conversation and questions about university life. It was a great day!
