MST at the Spring 2019 Indiana Section MAA meeting

Six faculty and six students from the Department of Mathematics and Statistics attended the Indiana Section meeting of the Mathematical Association of America held April 5-6 at University of Indianapolis.

Associate Professor Tiffany Kolba gave a talk entitled “Estimation of the Population Mean with the Sample Maximum.” Associate Professor Mindy Capaldi led a workshop for students entitled “Recognizing Gerrymandering: Are you smarter than a Supreme Court Justice?”  Associate Professor Lara Pudwell led the executive board and section business meetings as she concluded her term as chair of the Indiana Section.

Associate Professors Ken Luther and Pat Sullivan and Associate Provost Rick Gillman and undergraduate students Eric Burkholder, Timothy DeRolf, Lexi Gault, Benjamin Levandowski, Austin Schnoor, and Lukas Torgerson also attended the meeting.
