  • GMAT or GRE scores: The GMAT or GRE are common application requirements for MBA programs, providing a measure of a candidate’s analytical and writing abilities.  Please use Valparaiso University’s institution code of 1874 when taking the test.  Visit www.gmat.com or www.gre.org.  We may consider waiving the GMAT/GRE requirement, dependent upon the applicant’s undergraduate academic performance and work experience.  Requests for GMAT/GRE waivers should be included in the cover letter.
  • Official Transcripts:Please request official electronic transcripts be sent directly from all institutions attended to Graduate.School@valpo.edu.
  • Permanent Residents: Provide proof of residency such as green card, permanent residency document or a copy of your visa which shows that you are eligible to be a student.  Email to Graduate.School@valpo.edu.

 

Dual Degree J.D./MBA Applicants – (J.D. students Attend Evening Professional Program with six start dates)

Admission to this program requires acceptance to both the Valparaiso University Law School and the MBA program. These decisions are made independently by the Law School and the MBA Program; admission into one program does not guarantee admission into the other. The MBA is completed in the year following your JD, either in person or remotely via MBA Live.

  • Transcripts: The Law School already has your transcripts from all undergraduate institutions attended.  To request that copies of these transcripts be sent to the MBA Office, please sign and return the Request For Transcripts/LSAC form to mba@valpo.edu.

International Applicants – One Start Date in August Each Year – We are now accepting applications from F-1 applicants for August 2019 Full-time Daytime Global MBA with General Business Certificate.

Valparaiso University welcomes applications from qualified international students.  At present, more than 40 nations are represented in the University’s student population. Our application requirements and guidelines about the F-1 student visa are summarized below. There is one start date per year in August (Fall) for the Full-time Daytime Global MBA with General Business Certificate program; there are no Spring or Summer start dates.

    • Unofficial transcripts are accepted by Graduate.School@valpo.edu, but official copies must be submitted prior to beginning classes.
    • The undergraduate transcript should indicate the degree earned.
    • Transcripts should be sent directly to our office by the Registrar of your undergraduate and/or graduate university or institute.
    • Do not send high school or secondary transcripts.
  • Diploma/Degree Certificate – Copy of diploma/degree certificate showing degree earned
  • GMAT or GRE scores: The GMAT or GRE are common application requirements for MBA programs, providing a measure of a candidate’s analytical and writing abilities. We recommend you study for at least two months and use Valparaiso University’s institution code of 1874 when taking the test. Visit www.gmat.com or www.gre.org. For citizens of Iraq, the GRE is regularly offered by Amideast. We may consider waiving the GMAT/GRE requirement, dependent upon the applicant’s undergraduate academic performance and work experience. Requests for GMAT/GRE waivers should be included in the cover letter.
  • Certification of Finances: The Certification of Finances is a financial guarantee that you have funds available to cover all educational and living expenses for the first 9 months of your degree.  For the 1 Year (12 month) Full-time Global MBA, the total cost of educational and living expenses for 12 months is currently $49,000 USD.  Please have the person sponsoring your expenses sign the affidavit and attach a sponsorship letter or bank statement showing at least $37,000 USD.  Send to Graduate.School@valpo.edu.  Here are some tips for Preparing Your Financial Guarantee (PDF).
