Off-Campus Programs

The Lutheran College Washington Consortium

The Lutheran College Washington Semester is a small, personalized program where students live, study, and intern while earning a full semester of academic credit from their college. Students enjoy condo living in the Courthouse neighborhood of Arlington, VA. across the Key Bridge from Georgetown, the LCWS also maintains administrative offices, classrooms, computer labs, and conference rooms in the nearby Rosslyn neighborhood.

Fall and spring semesters are offered during which students attend internships on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. On Wednesdays students attend field trips, briefings, tours, and various other activities. Students earn 15 Valpo credit hours. Students register at Valparaiso University for the Washington Consortium Semester and pay to this University the tuition and general fee. Expenses for travel, meals, and lodging are paid directly by the students.
