Students can prepare for entrance into medical, dental, veterinary, medical technology, physical therapy, and other health-related programs by entering one of the pre-medical arts programs of the College of Arts and Sciences at Valparaiso University. The following information is a guide to students planning to pursue a specific area within the medical field.

The American Dental Education Association (ADEA) provides a wealth of information to those interested in learning more about the dental profession.

The Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) provides a wealth of information to those interested in learning more about the medical profession.

The American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) provides a wealth of information to those interested in learning more about the pharmacy profession.

The American Association of Colleges of Podiatric Medicine (AACPM) provides a wealth of information to those interested in learning more about podiatry.

Students in these programs must have their schedules approved each semester by their pre-medical arts academic advisor. Academic advising in the premedical arts is handled by a premedical advisor in collaboration with faculty mentors, all of whom are members of the Committee on the Pre-Medical Arts. All recommendations to the professional schools are sent out by this committee.
