On Friday, August 8, the University shared the following announcement to faculty and staff:
The Board of Directors has accepted President Heckler’s recommendation to begin the search process for the next president of Valparaiso University. This process has commenced.
John Draheim ’64, a member of the Board of Directors, will chair the search committee.
Rick AmRhein, vice president for Community and Government Relations and chief of staff, has been appointed as the Administrative Liaison. He will provide administrative support for the Search Committee throughout the process.
The selection of a President for the University is the single most important responsibility of the Board of Directors.
