Valpo’s Symposium of Undergraduate Research & Creative Expression is a conference that allows students who have done research in the past year to present their work in a professional setting. Students who have worked on high-quality class projects, honors theses and senior projects, or independent scholarship, are encouraged to participate by making a poster presentation of the research.
Essays may be drawn from a wide range of disciplines, including biology, chemistry, geography, history, ethnography, environmental ethics, theology, and ecology. The essay must be no less than 1500 words and may be written specifically for the Donnelly Prize or it may be a version of a paper previously written for a course.
