The Valparaiso University Chorale is recognized internationally as a premiere Lutheran collegiate choral ensemble, upholding the highest standard of choral art through performance of the greatest literature of all eras. Dedicated to performing works that celebrate the University’s Lutheran heritage, the Chorale has been honored to receive several prestigious invitations.
Reformation 2017
The Castle Church in Wittenberg, Germany, has invited the Valparaiso University Chorale to be present at the festive commemoration of the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation, centered in Wittenberg and shared worldwide. The Chorale is honored to accept this prestigious invitation to join the international community in this recognition of a movement that changed the modern world.
The Chorale will present a concert and lead a hymn festival connected to the 500th anniversary. While in Germany, the Chorale will return to the St. Thomas Church in Leipzig and join the famous Thomanerchor for the Reformation festival service and the weekend services.
