Valpo’s flexible MBA program is designed to fit your schedule, with 100% online asynchronous and on-campus options – you can even mix and match. The 36-credit program includes nine core courses in key business areas and three electives in your chosen concentration to support your career goals.

Admission to the master of business administration (MBA) program is decided by the following criteria:
- A completed Valparaiso University graduate application.
- Official transcripts of all previous undergraduate and graduate work. A minimum 2.75 undergraduate GPA is required; 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA in all previous graduate coursework.
- Current curriculum vitae (CV) or resume.
- Two letters of recommendation.
- A 1-2 page reflective essay.
Please note:
- Non-native English speakers must submit proof of English proficiency and a copy of their passport.
- The GMAT and GRE are not required for admission to the Valpo MBA. However, if you believe your test scores strengthen your application, you are welcome to submit them for consideration.

Additional Information
Experiential learning is a key part of the Valpo MBA. You’ll apply classroom concepts through hands-on projects, case studies, simulations, and industry engagement.
Depending on the course, you may complete SAP S/4HANA enterprise software projects, develop domestic and international marketing strategies, analyze business cases from leading organizations, participate in business simulations, or interview industry professionals to solve real-world business challenges.
Students can also earn elective course credit for an internship approved by the MBA advisor. Internships are particularly valuable for students with limited professional experience as they allow them to apply classroom knowledge, build their résumés, and expand their professional networks.
Every MBA student has a dedicated academic advisor who provides personalized guidance on course planning, registration, academic progress, and University resources throughout the program.

Yes. Previously completed graduate coursework may be eligible for transfer. Transfer credits are evaluated individually, and up to 18 approved graduate credit hours may be applied toward the Valpo MBA.
