Welcome to the Valparaiso University Community!
On behalf of the Division of Student Affairs and the Office of Residential Life, we would like to welcome you to our community! We are excited to have you joining our Valpo family! As you begin your transition to the Valparaiso community and your graduate program, we would like to share with you information about campus and local housing options.
On-Campus Housing Options
Residential Life works to provide safe and comfortable living and learning communities. We intentionally design programs, services, and leadership opportunities to foster an environment conducive to achieving academic goals, personal growth, and the development of community. Our eight residence halls and two apartment complexes are home to 2,000 undergraduate & graduate students. While Valparaiso requires undergraduate students to reside in University-operated housing for six (6) semesters, this requirement does not apply to graduate students.
Some of our graduate students are looking for a place to stay for a few week(s) as they identify long-term off-campus housing, while other graduate students are looking for housing options that would be longer in duration. Valparaiso University offers both short-term and long-term housing options for graduate students.
If you are interested in exploring short-term or long-term on-campus housing options, contact our office directly via phone (219-464-5413) or email (email@example.com), or complete our on-campus graduate housing interest form. If you complete the interest form, it does not obligate you to campus housing. Instead, a member of our Residential Life staff will contact you to review available housing options and answer any questions that you may have. The on-campus graduate housing interest form can be found HERE.
Off-Campus Housing Options
The local Valparaiso community also offers a variety of housing options at varying price points. Residential Life maintains a list of off-campus housing options for our University students. This list may be found HERE.
Valparaiso University does not endorse any property as advertised on the “Off-Campus Rental Listing”, nor do we assume any responsibility for a renter’s dissatisfaction with and/or contractual dispute between the renter and the property/property owner. We strongly recommend potential renters contact the property owner, investigate the property, and read and review the lease thoroughly before obligating themselves.
